Trip to Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory

posted May 14, 2014, 7:33 PM by Alan Jacob

Greyhound Baseball Club kicked off their trip to KY with a visit to the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory on Friday, May 9. The families enjoyed a wonderful morning as a team engulfed in baseball & memorabilia, while being educated on the history of the game. The boys really enjoyed the tour through the bat factory, where employees demonstrated the equipment used over the years to make bats. The tour included everything from wood selection and types, testing, painting and stamping.

On behalf of all the Greyhound Players, we would like to thank our sponsor Lance Avery of Greyhound Technologies for purchasing tickets for all the players and coaches, and for the surprise gift cards for all the players. The boys all enjoyed spending their money on customized bats and merchandise, and even a new catcher's glove.

Thanks again Lance!!!
