Here is the information on the team cleats and turf shoes.

ALL Players need to purchase the cleats, but the turf shoes are completely optional for winter games. The boys can wear sneakers or cleats for doom baseball, with sneakers most likely being the best.

I would recommend ordering the cleats in February. If anyone is interested in making a team purchase and saving on the shipping, please let me know in January.
