Rainout Makeup Reminder

posted May 7, 2012, 6:01 PM by Alan Jacob
The Greyhounds have just experienced back-to-back games that need to be rescheduled due to rain. Several families had questions on games that are rained out, so I thought I would post a message on how this all works.

The HOME team is responsible to make the final decision on whether a game can be played on their field. We have little to no control over our away games if the other team deems their field unplayable. The home team manager just needs to contact the away team and let them know their field is unplayable.

We have two games that need to be rescheduled. We need to work the games into our schedule between now and July 4, 2012. The MABF has declared two dates as BLACK OUT DATES - July 5 and July 6 this year. If any games are NOT played during the 2012 season, the MABF will force us to play the games on those dates. We don't want this to happen, because they won't be happy. We need to play all 22 games.

I am already working with the manager from the Bobcats and Scorpions to schedule a NEW game date. It is difficult to find a date that is available for both teams, as you can imagine.
