The Greyhounds started the 2012 tournament season in Monroe, MI playing in the FAAST Monroe Spring Classic. 14 teams in the 10u division battled it out over two days with winter like conditions on Saturday. Sunday was a much nicer day as the sun returned and the rain stopped.

The went 3-0 in bracket play winning the #1 seed in division IV. The semi-final game was played against the Michigan Storm, who played a good game beating the Greyhounds 9-2. The Michigan Storm went on to win the tournament, beating the Canton Storm in the final.

I just want to say that we had a lot of fun this weekend and I am proud of our team.  Although I am bummed we didn't win the tournament, we made great strides as a team.  I will always look at the positives and learn from the negatives, which is what I'm trying to instill in the kids.

I believe everyone including myself learned something in this tournament, and we will be a better team for it.
Although I still believe we were the best team there, we didn't play like it for one game.  Baseball is a funny game.  I have set up a rematch for tomorrow...just kidding.

Anyway, I am proud of our kids and how they played.  This game teaches so many life lessons and the kids are doing great.

Let's learn from this and realize how DOMINANT we can be when we are clicking on all cylinders!!

Let's have a great week!
