Greyhound Baseball Club will be hosting a tryout on Friday, August 7 at Anchor Bay High School, and a private tryout is also available this weekend if the planned date/time doesn't work with your family schedule. We are currently looking to fill (1)  spot on the roster, with a solid core returning for 2016.

The coaching staff is looking for a good athlete and family with travel ball experience.

Tryout Date & Time
Friday, August 7 - 6:30pm - 7:30pm

Tryout Location
Anchor Bay High School
Freshman Field
6319 County Line Road
Ira, MI 48023

Greyhound Baseball Club will compete at a local and national level in 2016, with the focus on tournament play. The majority of our tournament participation will be in the state of Michigan however, we are planning to participate in two to four out of state tournaments in 2016. The team will begin winter practice and conditioning in January 2016, and will participate in the MABF 14u Upper A Division or Private League.

2016 Greyhound season will begin with 2-3 summer and fall tournaments extending through October 2015.  Each player will be given an opportunity to select which tournaments he would like to participate in.  It is our hope that all players will be able to participate with the team in every tournament, but we also understand that family commitments during the late summer/fall months can prevent this from happening.  When we are short of players for summer/fall tournaments, we will fill any remaining spots with players from other teams as necessary.

On a staffing note, Tony Hall will remain as the Head Coach for the 2016 season.  Tony brings 20 years of coaching experience across multiple youth sports, and is coming off a very successful 2014 & 2015 season with the Greyhounds.

We are very excited about the 2016 year, and hope you will consider trying out for the Greyhounds. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the team using the Contact Us page of our website.

Thanks!
