Cooperstown September Showdown - Sept. 16 & 17, 2011

The Greyhound Baseball Club will be playing September 16 & 17, 2011 in the Cooperstown September Showdown. This will be a 2 day tournament in Jackson, MI that includes a night game on Friday and two games on Saturday guaranteed.

Friday, September 16 @ 8:00pm
Saturday, September 17 @ 10:30am (Tentative Time)
Saturday, September 17 @ 1:30pm (Tentative Time)
**3 Game minimum - Saturday's games will be posted no later than Thursday, September 14, 2011. **
 

Key Tournament Rules
1. All bats allowed - If you can bring it, you can swing it.
2. No lead-offs or stealing
3. Pitchers are allowed 3 innings per game, and 9 innings for the tournament
4. 9 player minimum roster per team.
5. This is a 10u tournament based on MAY 1, 2012


Tournament Cost
$25.00 per player for the tournament – If you need a jersey and hat, the cost is $30.00 in addition to the tournament.

Key Notes
1. Anyone NEW, please bring a copy of your birth certificate to the practice on Wednesday.
2. All players should arrive at the tournament 1hr prior to the start of each day’s game. If you need assistance in getting your boy to the tournament on Friday, Alan Jacob and Lisa Hall have both offered to drive anyone that needs a ride.
3. We will be wearing our tournament jerseys with white/navy pants. Players will most likely need  along sleeve shirt under their jersey on Friday night. PLEASE REMEMBER NO LONG SLEEVE WHITE SHIRTS ARE ALLOWED!!!
The boys will need to wear a dark colored undershirt or something other than white.


Coaching Staff and Roster
Al Goerke will be our head coach for the tournament
Alan Jacob, Nick Krysinski and Brian Clark will be assistant coaches

We currently have 10 players registered for this tournament, and we plan to take 11. This includes 8 of the players on the 2012 team. We hope to have our 11th player locked by Thursday, September 14 but we can play with 10 players at a slightly higher price per player.
